Plaza and Abbott “feel very blessed,” the source added about the expecting parents.

The pair quietly became friends while working on different projects over the years. They first worked together in 2019, playing both actors and directors, shooting a film in an isolated lake house for the psychological dramaBlack Bear.

In 2023, they shared the stage in the Off-Broadway revival of John Patrick Shanley’s playDanny And The Deep Blue Sea.

“It’s fun and it’s also good and it’s also safe,” Plaza previously told theNew York Times, while Abbott added, “We’re bothunafraid to be ugly and weirdand strange.”

Plaza dealt with the loss of her late husband, Jeff Baena, last year. They began dating in 2011 andtied the knotin 2021.

The screenwriter and film director took his own life on January 3, 2025, at the age of 47.

It is believed he and theParks and Recreationalum had been separated for months before his untimely passing.

Baena had texted his estranged wife about three hours before his body was found in a Los Angeles-area home.

Plaza, who had moved to New York after their split, told investigators that he “made concerning remarks” a month after their September 2024 breakup. She asked a friend to perform a welfare check on him at the time.

Investigators also found that Baena and Plaza spoke over the phone the night before his passing.

The next day, a dog walker arrived as scheduled and heard loud music coming from his residence, which was unusual. She then entered the house andstumbled upon his body, leading to a 911 call.

Following the news of Plaza’s pregnancy, fans congratulated her as she entered motherhood.

Others chose to be snarky and claimed it was “disgusting” that she was having a baby with another man a year after Baena’s passing.

“Didnt her husband JUST pass away,” one asked, while another quipped, “people are moving on quick af bro.”

“That didnt take long,” said another.

“That was fast,” one said. “I guess people get over things super fast .. especially a de*d husband.”

Another wrote, “They move on like the wind blows. Hell they move like the wind before you are out of their sight lol.”

“Yes, she [is supposed] to respect the memory of her late husband,” one said.

“I’d expect that she should be sad for a period at least a little longer than necessary to get with someone else and decide to have a baby with them,” another wrote.

“Man, it takes me a year just to know if i love the person I’m with at this age,” one person commented online

On the other hand, fans pointed out that “everyone grieves differently” and asked, “Is she supposed to be sad for life? Good for her for moving on.”

“Is she supposed to stay unhappy for the rest of her life? When do [sic] being happy and moving forward a crime?” one said.

“What is she supposed to do, wait around and be sad until everyone gives her the ok?” asked another.

“Full stop! No one knows what was actually happening in their lives.Stop speculating,” said another. “This is insane for anyone to comment on this.”

Plaza spoke about her griefduring a chat withAmy Poehler for theGood Hangpodcast last year.

“Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,” Plaza said after being asked how she was doing in the midst of a “terrible, tragic year.”

“Overall, I’m here and I’m functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world,” she added. “I think I’m OK, but it’s like a daily struggle, obviously.”

TheWhite Lotusstar used what she called “a really dumb analogy” to explain her grief, comparing it to a shot from the sci-fi horror movieThe Gorge.

Plaza previously spoke about how it’s been a “daily struggle” afterJeff Baena‘s untimely passing

“There’s a cliff on one side and a cliff on the other side and there’s a gorge in between and it’s filled with all these monster people that are trying to get them,” she explained. “I swear when I watched it, I was like, ‘That what this feels like, what my grief is like, or what grief could be like.’”

The actress said there were times when her grief felt like a “giant ocean of awfulness,” and she just wanted to “dive” and “be in it.” Other times, she just looked at it. And sometimes, she tried to run away from it.

“But it’s always there,” she added. “It’s just always there.”

Jennie Garth Reveals Trauma from Divorce, Miscarriages and Body Issues: How She Got Sober and Finally Found Peace (Exclusive)

Jennie Garth is sharing stories about her second act with the I Choose Me movement in a new memoir, and PEOPLE cover story

NEED TO KNOW

  • The 90210 star reveals depression and a stint at rehab after her divorce from ex Peter Facinelli

  • She also says the fame from 90210 was so stressful, it caused her to retreat into herself and live an isolating existence

In May of 1995,Jennie Garth’sBeverly Hills 90210character Kelly Taylor was facing a conundrum: both Dylan McKay (Luke Perry) and Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley), the hottest guys at West Beverly Hills High, were demanding she decide between them.

“I choose me,” her character told them, walking away from both.

“At that age, I didn’t really get it,” Garth, 54, tells PEOPLE of the feminist sentiment with a laugh.

But now Garth, who in the decades after the show ended endured a painful divorce, miscarriages and mental health struggles, finally gets it.

After she turned 50, she says, “The phrase just came back to me and it started to really resonate." Garth, who has since found sobriety, confidence and a new sense of purpose is leaning into the “I Choose Me” movement witha podcastand her new memoir,I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose, and Embracing Reinvention, out April 14 from Park Row, an imprint of Harper Collins.

“Even though it took a while, I’m finally at a place comfortable choosing myself,” she says.

If it seems unlikely that someone like Garth would spend most of her life struggling with self-worth and imposter syndrome, she explains that — unlike Kelly Taylor — she didn’t grow up anywhere near Beverly Hills and certainly had no inkling that she’d one day become one the most famous teens on the planet when she was cast on90210.

“It was like being in The Beatles,” she says. “There was no preparation for it. It was scary and unknown for all of us, and it was like sink or swim, just survive and figure it out as you go. It was major on-the-job training.”

She struggled with intense anxiety from the constant exposure, and did everything she could to protect her privacy.

“I really did a good job, to the point where I walked around not making eye contact with people, not wanting anybody to know anything about my life,” she says. “That led me into a very isolated existence.”

She also didn’t feel worthy of the hype. “I’m my own worst critic,” she says. In the book, she writes of the pressure to be skinny and beautiful, leading her to restrict calories and get breast implants. “I was so hard on myself,” she says.

“I spent a good amount of years being hurt, sad, just tormented by it, and it eked out into all aspects of my life,” Garth says of life after divorce.

Garth was even harder on herself after her marriage to actorPeter Facinellifell apart in 2012, after 17 years andthree daughters together. At her lowest, she writes of drinking and taking pills one night, to the point of needing her stomach pumped, and she spent time at Canyon Ranch rehab center afterward, to learn how to stop self-medicating in harmful ways. It didn't erase the sting of rejection, however.

“I noticed my light really dimming. I wasn’t putting off good vibes. I could see it in the mirror. I could look at the negative impact that that kind of grief and anger was having on me. And there was a weird switch where one day I just said, ‘I don’t want to carry this anymore. It’s impacting my relationships and how I feel about myself. I’ve got to let it go. I’ve got toforgivehim.’"

Now the two are friendly coparents, and Garth is living a harmonious and sober life in Southern California with her new husband, actorDave Abrams— although the two also went through a rough patch and separated for almost a year after the pressures of IVF and subsequent miscarriages left them both depleted.

Garth, who found out Abrams was filing for divorce from TMZ in 2018 (they reconciled in 2019), says the time apart taught her a lot about communication and trusting your partner’s word. “I really wanted to give Dave a baby because he was young and all of his friends were having kids and I just thought that’s what he needed,” she says.

“It all comes down to people-pleasing,” she says. “Once you really get to the core of whatyouwant for your life? That’s when everything seems to get easier."

Foreclosure sale for the decrepit Malibu mansion that Kanye West destroyed is delayed — again

What a long, strange trip it’s been for this Malibu monstrosity — a journey that seems like it may never end.

NY Post Kanye former Malibu home

The scheduled Tuesday morning auction for Kanye West’s former oceanfront mansion in the affluent coastal California enclave has been postponed for the second time in less than three weeks, The Post has learned.

The foreclosed property was initially scheduled to auction on March 19 behind the fountain in Civic Center Plaza in Pomona, Calif., located outside the city of Los Angeles. However, an eleventh-hour bankruptcy action was filed on the residence that day, which put a halt on that sale until April 7.

The new rain date is not immediately clear. As of that would-be auction date in March, the dwelling had some $21.1 million remaining on its loan.

Bo Belmont, the California-based developer whose Belwood Investments has owned the house since 2024, has reportedly planned to make $8.5 million in renovations to the structure and list it for sale.

“My stance remains the same: I will do everything in my power to ensure this home is not taken, and we finish the … restoration,” Belmont told The Post on Monday evening after news of the sale’s delay became clear. He added there have been issues with “an undercapitalized developer” who has allegedly prioritized his own ambitions — as well as a lender aiming to take the house back, and another for the refinance who has allegedly acted in bad faith. Belmont did not name any of those parties.

“Despite these factors, I am still pushing forward aggressively on behalf of everyone who has invested in this property,” Belmont said.

The saga surrounding this residence is equal parts lengthy and strange.

West, otherwise known as “Ye,”purchased the oceanfront residencein 2021 for $57.25 million from the financier and art collector Richard Sachs, for whom it was built. It appears to be just one of six stand-alone single-family homes that Tadao Ando — the celebrated Japanese architect who won the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 1995 — designed in the United States. (In 2023, power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Zshelled out $200 millionfor a nearby Ando-designed oasis in Malibu, whose nine-figure price broke a California record at the time.)

West reportedly plannedon turning the property into a minimalistic bunker — or a luxury “bomb shelter” or a “bat cave.” So,he began a processof demolishing it — by stripping it of its electricity, plumbing, marble bathrooms and its windows. He even had two fire pits and a Jacuzzi taken out. It remains open to the elements — with bare bones and stripped down concrete — and an artist named Ryan Keeley has recently used it as his Pacific-facing painting studio.

West’s destructive teardown took place around the time his vile antisemitic outbursts and overall erratic behaviornabbed headline after headline, which notably cost him deals with Adidas and Gap.

The workwas also the subjectof a court battle in March. West ordered a handyman named Tony Saxon to strip the structure of those contents. Saxon, whom a Los Angeles jury awarded $140,000 for medical expenses and lost wages, originally sought $1.7 million. Saxon testified thathe took late-night tripswith the disgraced rapper to Home Depot to buy tools — only for West to get “distracted by a flower arrangement,” causing them to miss out on buying what they needed.

(In January, West took out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal apologizing for his disturbing episodes, which he claims originated from neurological damage sustained in a 2002 car accident. Meanwhile, this past week, West sold out two shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, netting $33 million as a result. One of them earned more than $18 million in ticket sales — one of the highest-grossing sales in the history of live music. However, on Monday, Pepsi and Diageowithdrew their sponsorshipof the 2026 Wireless Festival in the United Kingdom after West was announced its headliner.)

By December 2023, West abandoned the gutted residence anddecided to list itfor $53 million. He ultimately sold it in August 2024 for a profoundly discounted $21 million to Belmont’s crowdfunded real-estate firm.

Come 2025, Belmont’s 500-plus investors were set to receive an early pay day when the firmput the homeon the market for $39 million. Later that year, the property faced foreclosure, with the lender Quality Loan Service Corp. alleging in November that Belmont’s company fell behind on roughly $815,000 in payments at that time.

Quality Loan Service Corp. could not immediately be reached for comment.

Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary Gets Second Shoutout From Artemis II Crew

The cosmos has always had a way of inspiring, and now, it’s influencing the silver screen. So much so that the NASA Artemis II crew has publicly praisedRyan Gosling‘sProject Hail Maryfor the second time. Their thrilling endorsement is the latest boost for Gosling’s recent cinematic venture that has been creating a huge stir worldwide.

Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary receives another nod from Artemis II crew

The Artemis II crew is giving Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary movie a double thumbs-up from space. However, this isn’t the first time the NASA crew has praised Gosling’s sci-fi thriller, hinting at a stellar performance from the actor.

After watching the film before their lunar journey, Mission Control playfully referenced it byquoting“Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!” – in response to Commander Reid Wiseman’s description of the Moon.

The notable event occurred during NASA’s official broadcast of the Artemis II space voyage. It coincided with the lunar flyby that took the crew farther from Earth than any human had previously been. Their achievement of a planned distance of 252,760 miles will enable them to surpass the Apollo 13 mission’s 1970 record of 248,655 miles.

“We just realized we have Earth at window four and the Moon at window three, and it gives you the best idea of scale we have had yet,” Wiseman said. “The Moon is about three to four times the size of the Earth, and it is almost full, and the Earth is just a small crescent out there. It’s magnificent – I got a picture of it with the wide lens. Such a majestic view out here.”

Responding to the record-breaking achievement, Mission Control said, “Amaze! Amaze! Amaze! Thank you, Reid.”

Fans of Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary, or the movie adaptation starringRyan Gosling, will recognize the quote. It’s a nod to Rocky, the lovable Eridian alien who helps Gosling’s Ryland Grace on a mission to save humanity. Rocky’s unique way of expressing excitement is now echoed by Mission Control.
