Robert MacIntyre leaps out to 4-shot lead at Valero Texas Open

Scotland's Robert MacIntyre opened up a four-shot lead at the midway point of the Valero Texas Open on Friday at TPC San Antonio.

MacIntyre shot the round of the week so far, an 8-under-par 64, to climb to 14-under 130 through two rounds. Sweden's Ludvig Aberg is his closest competitor after he shot a second consecutive 67 to get to 10 under par.

Bud Cauley (66), Kevin Roy (68), Tony Finau (69) and Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen (66) are tied for third at 9 under.

MacIntyre started on the back nine and went 4 under through a three-hole stretch at Nos. 14-16. He set himself up for an 8-foot eagle putt at the par-5 14th, then knocked in two more putts inside 8 feet for birdies at the next two holes.

The World No. 11 finished his round with four birdies on the final five holes. He made just one bogey against seven birdies.

While MacIntyre seeks his third PGA Tour win, Finau is vying for his seventh. The difference is he hasn't triumphed since April 2023, and he has yet to be invited to next week's Masters -- something only a victory in Texas can change.

Finau ended his round with a bang, sinking a 34 1/2-foot eagle putt at the par-5 18th. He made an even longer eagle putt at No. 14 on Thursday, from 41 1/2 feet.

As the final few groups finished their rounds Friday evening, the cut line was projected to be 2 under. Jordan Spieth shot consecutive 71s to sit right on the line. Mark Hubbard, the first-round leader following a 7-under 65, stumbled to a 77 Friday and may also make the cut right on the number.

Those on the wrong side include Russell Henley (1 under), Max Homa (1 under), South Korea's Tom Kim (even), Austrian Sepp Straka (even), Rickie Fowler (1 over) and Frenchman Matthieu Pavon (4 over).

In aTikTok videoshared on Thursday by @jackbanana, the rapper (whose real name is Tyler Gregory Okonma) and fellow artist Travis "Taco" Bennett were walking in Beverly Hills when approached by the content creator.

Initially, the "EARFQUAKE" singer greeted the content creator by shaking hands, but once he realized he was being asked a personal question — which was what was the most expensive purchase he's ever made — for the creator's platform, Tyler made it clear he was not comfortable being filmed.

"I don't do none of that," he said, declining to answer the question.

"I don't f--- with that, bro," he added before telling the content creator to "take care" and starting to walk away.

As the video continues, the content creator can be seen opening a gambling app called PackDraw on their phone.

Tyler is then shown becoming more agitated, making clear he did not give permission to appear in the video and asking the content creator to take off their smartglasses, which seemed to be recording the entire interaction.

"Nah, you didn't ask that, bro," Tyler said. "And I don't like you with them glasses. Talk to me. Take them glasses off, bro. No, I don't f--- with that."

The video ends with Tyler telling the content creator, "You don't know me."

The rapper has previously called out fans forasking him "weird a-- questions"when he is out in public,sharing his frustrationsin 2025 while a guest onMaverickswith Maverick Carter.

"Because of the internet, people don't know personal boundaries no more... We don't know each other," Tyler said on the show, adding that he gets called an "ungrateful asshole" for setting his own boundaries.

He went on to say that when fans encroach upon a celebrity's privacy — be it a musician, an actor, or something else — he, for one, is not accepting of people acting like "a f--cking weirdo."

Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo lay their foundations in the WNBA expansion draft

Portland, which is welcoming aWNBAteam back to the city after 24 years, selected veteran forward Bridget Carleton with the first pick in Friday's expansion draft.

Guard Julie Allemand, who played last season for the Los Angeles Sparks, was selected by the Toronto Tempo with its first pick.

The Tempo won a coin flip and opted to take the sixth pick in the college draft on April 13 over the top pick in the expansion draft. So Portland went first on Friday and will have the seventh pick in the college draft.

Carleton, who played last season for the Minnesota Lynx and averaged 6.5 points a game, was an unrestricted free agent.

"Once we finalized our process, and zoomed in on Bridget, and knew we had our first expansion pick, it was obvious we did not want to have Toronto hold our destiny in their hands," Portland general manger Vanja Cernivec said.

Allemand averaged 5.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5 assists in 34 games last season.

The league's teams protected five players apiece ahead of the expansion draft but those lists were not made public, leading to speculation about which players were available.

On Wednesday, the Chicago Sky announced trades with the Tempo and the Fire, which prevented the expansion teams from selecting Sky players. In exchange, the Fire got the No. 17 pick in the college draft and the No. 26 pick went to the Tempo.

The expansion draft had two rounds, with up to six picks for each team in each round. The teams alternated picks, with the Tempo picking first in the second round after the Fire got the first overall selection.

Teams could only lose two players to the expansion draft. If a player was taken in the first round, a second player from that same franchise couldn't be taken until the second round.

Following Allemand, the Tempo selected center Nyara Sabally from the Liberty, guard Marina Mabrey from the Sun, forward Aaliya Nye from the Aces, guard Lexi Held from the Mercury, and forward Maria Conde from the Valkyries.

In the second round the Tempo selected forward Maria Kliundikova from the Lynx, center Adja Kane from the Liberty, center Nikolina Milic from the Sun, guard Kitija Laksa from the Mercury, and guard Kristy Wallace from the Fever.

After Carleton, the Portland Fire selected guard Carla Leite from the Valkyries, center Luisa Geiselsoder from the Stars, forward Emily Engstler from the Mystics, guard Maya Caldwell from the Dream and forward Chloe Bibby from the Fever.

In the second round Portland took guard Haley Jones from the Wings, forward Nyadiew Puoch from the Dream, guard Sara Ashlee Barker from the Sparks, guard Sug Sutton from the Mystics and guard Nika Muhl from the Storm.

Mabry was also an unrestricted free agent. Each team was allowed to pick only one unrestricted free agent.

Portland previously had a WNBA team, also called the Fire, that played from 2000 to 2002.
